Frequently mentioned highways of information, the Internet was the source of high-level military. It was later expanded to universities and commercial use. Today is a network of hundreds of thousands of composite and a source for virtually every element of information in the form of text and graphics. It was also extended to the many forms of interactive communication. Access requires a PC with a modem. A subscription to an Internet-access is necessary.
